Thermography
Heat sources in an installation are often the cause of hidden problems, for example:
- A poorly grounded or worn-out cable in a meter cupboard can cause a short circuit or even start a fire.
- Poor insulation leads to significant energy loss.
- Overheating through wear and tear increases the risk of breakdowns.
Thermal imaging camera
Thermography is the most efficient way to track this kind of problem. Using a thermal imaging camera, variations in temperature in an installation are detected and measured. These variations in temperature are illustrated using a variable colour spectrum. In this way, a clear image is formed of areas where, for instance, heat loss and heightened resistance occur.
