When should you perform a weld inspection?
There are several instances when it is advisable to have a visual weld inspection of your process installation.
Commissioning:
As part of a commissioning inspection, a visual welds inspection is indispensable nowadays. It offers the assurance that the installation meets the stated requirements, so that the safety of the product is guaranteed.
But also to check on the quality as delivered by the installer. Does this meet with the stipulated requirements and did you receive value for money?
In case of bacterial contamination:
Have you measured an increased value of bacterial contamination in your process? If so, a visual inspection of the installation is recommended. Welds, in particular, carry a risk of contamination being deposited on the material. Performing a visual camera inspection is fast, effective and efficient.
